Modes

Modes are a method of temporarily overriding the setpoints of a room or disabling hardware in the room, either for a set period of time or if the user manually deactivates the mode.

If you want to temporarily change conditions in the room to allow for spraying, inspection, moving plants, temporary hardware deactivation or for any other reason, and return to normal room setpoints and operation without needing to change settings multiple times, then modes are what you want to use.

Once created, modes can be activated in any room at a facility without needing to recreate the same mode for each room.

Modes are saved as JSON files in the following directory after creation:

C:\\Recipes\\Modes

This allows a user to transfer mode files between facilities, and advanced users can edit mode files directly with a text editor of choice. More on this can be read in the Loading Presets, Modes, and Recipes section.

The interface for creating, editing, or deleting modes can be reached by selecting the Recipe button (shown selected in green in the image below) from any page while in the single-room interface, which is entered by selecting a Room Tile from the Global Page.

The elements of this interface are listed and described below:

Mode Name

Untitled

This will be both the name of the mode shown in the drop-down menus, and the file name created in the directory listed above.

NOTE: Creating two modes with the same name will result in the second mode overwriting the first mode! Ensure that unique modes have separate names to avoid accidental overwriting of data. {% endhint %}
